GF Copycat Crumbl Cookie Recipes

In the last few years, America’s sweet tooth has manifested itself as an obsession with delicious cookies. And if we’re being honest, Crumbl bakery is partially to blame. Giant, soft cookies that can be delivered warm right to your door? What’s not to love?!

Each week, Crumbl releases a new lineup of thick cookies that range in flavor from classic to unique. And it feels like each one is more delicious than the last! The only bummer is that they aren’t gluten-free. So if you have food allergies or live with celiac disease, you might be left out at this cookie shop.

But here’s the good news: I am a pro at recreating famous crumbl cookie recipes AND all of my cookies can be adapted to be gluten free recipes with the use of Bob’s Red Mill Flour.  The best part? They taste just like the real thing! So the only problem you’ll face is choosing which one to try first!

Classic Crumbl Cookie Copycat Recipe Ideas

One of the most genius parts of Crumbl’s business plan is their rotating menu. Each week their menu consists of old favorites (like their soft sugar cookies or their famous chocolate chip cookies) and a collection of new Crumbl cookie flavors that switch.

Before you fall for the allure of the new flavors, I recommend starting with a copycat of their best cookie: Chocolate Chip. Filled with decadent milk chocolate chips, these buttery cookies are what dreams are made of. Just make sure you don’t add the all purpose flour by mistake!

Gluten Free Crumbl Sugar Cookies

If chocolate cookies aren’t your speed, take a look at my copycat sugar cookie recipe!

‌You can always find one of the Crumbl sugar cookies on their menu, but the frosting or toppings might be a little bit different from week to week. My favorite variations include the Berries N’ Cream Sugar cookie and the regular buttery sugar cookie with an almond frosting. Just be sure to substitute the flour with Bob’s Red Mill 1:1 Gluten Free Flour.

Specialty Gluten-Free Crumbl Recipe Ideas

Crumbl’s specialty flavors are a good reason to visit the cookie shop each week! While I love the classics, it’s hard to choose a favorite  from my library of specialty cookie copycat recipes. But if you’re asking which recipe to make gluten free first, the best way to go is with my Molten Lava cookies.

Gluten Free Crumbl Lava Cookies

Molten lava cookie split in half and stacked on top of each other.

My love for these cookies is real! Boasting a chocolatey base filled with a warm gooey center, these cookies are so decadent and fudgy – it doesn’t get better. Just be sure to sub out the regular flour for a 1:1 gluten-free flour and you’re good to go!

Ultimate Peanut Butter Crumbl Cookie (Gluten Free)

My second not-to-be-missed specialty recommendation is this Ultimate Peanut Butter cookie. This cookie is filled with gooey peanut butter and is made for all the peanut butter lovers out there. And with a few minor changes (just switch the flour for 1:1 gluten-free flour like Bob’s Red Mills), it is the perfect gluten-free option!

Gluten Free Churro Cookie Copycat

This Churro Cookie copycat is another favorite with cinnamon buttercream frosting and a delicious cinnamon sugar cookie base. For a gluten-free version of this recipe, substitute the all-purpose flour with your favorite 1:1 gluten free flour alternative!

Cookie Dough Crumbl Cookie (Gluten Free)

Cookie Dough Crumbl cookie – this is inception personified. Tasting exactly like cookie dough but without the guilt of eating raw eggs, this might be my favorite cookie. Use Bob’s Red Mill 1:1 Gluten Free flour in this recipe and report back on whether this is your new fave too.

Can I make your Crumbl copycat cookies with a different brand of gluten-free flour?

Yes, you can! But be aware that the conversion rate might be different. For best results, I recommend sticking to a 1:1 gluten-free flour like Bob’s Red Mill.

How do gluten-free Crumbl cookies taste compared to the original?

When using Bob’s Red Mill 1:1 Gluten-Free Flour as a subsitute to all-purpose flour, these copycat cookies taste pretty dang close to the real deal. There may be an occassional texture difference.

How do I store gluten-free Crumbl cookies?

I recommend storing your cookies in an airtight container on the counter for up to 3-5 days or freezing them for up to 3 months.
