Heat the milk in the microwave until it reaches 100°F-110° F.
Pour the granulated sugar and yeast into the warm milk. Stir and set aside for 5 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and foamy.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the flour, salt, melted butter, vanilla extract and the yeast mixture.
Using the dough hook, knead and mix the dough.
As the dough is mixing, add in the two eggs.
Keep kneading until a smooth dough forms.
Add the pearl sugar and knead until evenly distributed.
Remove from the bowl and cut into 8 equal sized pieces.
Cover and allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
After the dough has rested, warm a waffle iron to approx 300° or the 1-2 setting.
Place the dough into the center of the greased waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
Top with Nutella, whipped cream and fresh strawberries or any other toppings you'd like.
