Ghirardelli Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups ghirardelli chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375° F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer or with an electric hand mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing well.
  • Add the flour, baking soda and salt to the bowl and mix until a very sticky dough forms.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop out 1 1/2 tbsp of dough (#40 scoop) and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake at 375° F for 8-10 minutes until the eggs of the cookies have spread and are golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
