Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (use your favorite)
  • Flaky sea salt for garnish

Toppings

  • Ice cream
  • Chocolate sauce
  • nuts
  • whipped cream
  • etc

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325° F.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mixing until well combined, light in color and fluffy in texture.
  • Scrape the sides of the bowl and add in the egg and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  • Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Add in the chocolate chips, mixing until evenly distributed.
  • Lightly press the cookie dough into a 12 inch cast iron skillet (or another oven safe skillet).
  • Bake at 325° F for 32-37 minutes (mine took exactly 35 min). The cookie dough will rise up in the pan and the top will become golden brown.

  • Grab a spoon, dig in and enjoy!
