Dutch processed cocoa is different than black cocoa. Did you happen to use black cocoa? Black cocoa will have a taste like an oreo and give the cookie a black color. Dutch processed has a darker and deeper flavor but it is still brown.

My family loved these cookies and disappeared quick as all your recipes I make do. I just have a question. The recipe calls for Dutch process cocoa and made my cookies black but your cookies are brown. Was I supposed to use regular cocoa?
