Hi! I have weighed everything myself so the metric quantities match the imperial quantities. There are different "standard" quantities for metric measurements and I align closely with the Ina Garten metric standard. If you're ever questioning the quantities, you can double check with my imperial measurements (cups/tablespoons, etc). Hope that helps!

You can also try adding up to 1/4 cup of flour and see if that helps the cookies not flatten.

These are delicious, made as directed. I did do the trick from Karli where you take a bowl or cup and swirl it around the cookie straight out of the oven to pull the cookie together a bit and shape it into a better circle. They are perfect! Karli thank you for all of the best cookie recipes!!!

Hi! I have a question about this recipe. Do you use the ingredient weights you show when you make these? Or are you measuring in cups?
I was about to make these, but stopped. The cup to gram conversions for flour are not what I expected. I usually use 1 cup all-purpose flour = 120 grams, which would be over 3 cups of flour for this recipe if I weighed out the 380 grams you show. The 288 grams of sugar you show for the cookie would also be more than I would expect 1-1/4 cups of sugar to weigh. Thank you!

Cookies have a great flavor but are flat—-not a very good presentation. Next time I will reduce the butter to 3/4 cup. Maybe that will help. I was disappointed that they didn’t look like the picture.

What brand margarine do you recommend? The only brands sold in stick form that are widely available seem to be Blue Bonnet and Imperial, and both have 48% fat content.
