In reply to Sandra. You can try flattening the dough ball slightly before baking and see if that does the trick! You can also reduce the flour by 1/4 cup and see if that helps.

This is an absolute classic! – most people don’t understand that for best results you have to use room temp eggs and then chill the dough for 40 minutes. Also, people melt the butter and then the cookies are flat and oily.

for a thicker cookie, I always add an extra half cup of flour. Bake them til they are just about done, about 6 minutes.
