Sometimes elevation and humidity can impact the texture of the dough. How did the cookies bake up?

If you’re wanting to bake at a later date, I would recommend freezing until you’re ready to bake. But if you’re ready to serve them, you won’t need to freeze prior to baking.

I’ve made these twice in the past week and will make them again whenever I want a special chocolate chip cookie. They’re really delicious! I found that I only needed about 1/2 tsp chocolate to coat the bottoms of the cookies. Drop the melted chocolate on the silicone mat and twist the cookie on top as you press down to spread it to the edges. Also, I needed more chocolate than the recipe indicated.

I also need metric. Especially since each ingredient is so different. It’s not a matter of typing them into google. Knowing what weight your particular cups are (since every single cup can be manufactured differently, let alone filled differently) makes all the difference. I wish I had my grandmother’s cup measures. Some of her recipes I still haven’t cracked.

You will just melt the chocolate in the microwave as written!
