In reply to Ally M. The butter extract adds such a nice flavor! Without it, the cookies will still be delicious, but may not give the Pillsbury flavor you're looking for.

These were good but the big difference I saw was the sugar cookies being cut at 1″ then placed onto the pan. On the roll of Pillsbury dough I remember it it saying cut 1″ slices, then 1/4 those, putting them on the tray (point side up kind of like a pyramid.) You are probably remembering making them a long time ago and someone forgot the 1/4ing them part.

Not quite right. A little too cakey and salty. Not the right texture. Close in flavor but these won’t deter me from buying the real deal.

Where do you find margarine with that high of oil content? I have looked at every brand sold at 3 stores (including store brands such as Food Club), and can’t find anything over 60-70%.

This recipe was amazing. It tasted exactly like the Pillsbury cookies that come premade. I would recommend.
